Happy Easter

Dear Parent/Carer
I hope you are all as excited as us to be looking forward to a nice Easter break. Please congratulate your child for all of the hard work that has been going on in P3R. As always most of the children give their all and do their very best. They are your little cherubs, so be proud. To follow are just a few points for you to remember for our return to school.
1. PE kit coming home tomorrow for a refresh and should be returned first day back. Our PE days are Tuesday and Thursday. We will be doing Egyptian and magical dance until the weather gets better, then outside we will go for athletics and tennis.
2. Homework will be given out on a Monday as usual, to be returned on a Thursday or before.
3. Please ensure you sign your child’s reading record, letting me know that they have read to an adult. This is very important to the children as there are sanctions in place for the lack of this happening.
4. P3R will be lucky to be going to Mrs Younger again for music, Mrs Heggie for activity zone, myself for PE and finally looking forward to our topic The Circus.

I would like to thank all of you for the donations of soap and tissues. These are very welcome and very well used. Finally a massive thank you for the help you gave your child throughout the Egyptian homework challenge.
Happy holidays from P3R & Mrs Rodgers

Term 3

Happy New Year to all of the children in P3R and their families. I know Santa was good to you all and you are all ready to start term 3 working hard and having fun.

Just a little reminder to parents/carers to say that the children will have PE on a Wednesday with our specialist Mr McCrudden where they will be playing basketball and with myself on a Friday where they will be participating in athletics. Most children have their kits in school where they can stay until the Easter break.

We are also starting our new topic which is Ancient Egypt. The childre seem very excited to be learning about Ancient Egyptians having their brains pulled out through their noses. They will give you the details no doubt. A six week homework challeng will be sent home in a few weeks and I hope you all enjoy the challenge and have fun.

Mrs Rodgers

Merry Christmas

Can I please take this opportunity to wish all parents, relatives and friends of P3R a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I hope you all have a super holiday. Can you please congratulate your child for all the hard work that has been completed over the past few months? They are trully superstars and I for one am very proud of them all. Finally, I don’t know when PE will be next term so if you could send your child’s kit back in a bag on the first day?

A special thank you!!

On behalf of all of P3R, we would like to say a huge thank you to all mums, dads, grans and nanas for your support this morning at our welcome meeting. I was delighted to see a very bustling classroom that as I must say is usually full with children. It was plain to see that the girls and boys were delighted to be sharing their class news and their learning with you all. This form of support is very much welcomed by myself and your children.

In PE we are working with Mr McCrudden to develop our football skills and with Mrs Rodgers for gymnastics. We have also very lucky to be taught French by our visiting specialist Monsieur McAvoy.

In activity zone Mrs Heggie is working alongside us to develop our beach topic.
