On Friday 30th November 2012 (St Andrews Day), the whole school celebrated the end of the first-ever Scottish book week.
Pupils were encouraged to dress up as a book character, preferably by a Scottish author or from a book written in Scotland… and the boys and girls did not disappoint! We had lots of very inventive costumes and most had the book to accompany their creations.
Well done to Eva Ward on winning the 1st prize in our class for her ladybird costume from Julia Donaldson’s ‘What the Ladybird Heard’ and 2nd prize went to Courtney Smith as a pirate from ‘Treasure Island’ by Robert Louis Stevenson.
