We’ve had a good week here at Meldrum PS with lots going on as always!\u00a0 I know that we have amazing children here at Meldrum but this has also been commented on by visitors to our school over the last couple of weeks, with the NHS team who administered the flu vaccines praising the manners of the children, and also the photographer from Tempest who was here this week.\u00a0 She commented on the respect shown by all of the children when they were having their photos taken.\u00a0 Well done everyone!<\/p>\n
Next week is Maths Week Scotland and the theme for this year is “Maths Matters.”\u00a0 This celebrates the role that mathematics has in everyday life, learning and careers.\u00a0 Education Scotland have shared some ideas of things that can be done in communities (including in families) which you will find by clicking on the link:\u00a0 \u00a0Maths for communities | Resources | Education Scotland<\/a><\/p>\n Fairtrade Fortnight also begins next week and European Languages Day is celebrated.\u00a0 This falls on a weekend date but staff may plan some activities to do on Friday for this event.<\/p>\n A reminder that the school is closed on Monday for September break.\u00a0 Staff and pupils return on Tuesday morning.\u00a0 I hope that everyone enjoys the rest that the extra day brings and we look forward to welcoming everyone back on Tuesday.<\/p>\n Next week – Maths Week Scotland and start of Fairtrade Fortnight<\/p>\n Monday – school closed<\/p>\n Tuesday – all resume.<\/p>\n Wednesday – Netball after school club begins<\/p>\n Thursday – P1 Seesaw session for parents 2.30pm<\/p>\n Friday – European Languages Day<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" We’ve had a good week here at Meldrum PS with lots going on as always!\u00a0 I know that we have amazing children here at Meldrum but this has also been commented on by visitors to our school over the last … Continue reading
