We have made the most of the lovely weather this week here at Meldrum with lots of learning activities taking place outside!\u00a0 I think everyone felt happy to see the sunshine, we’ll keep our fingers crossed that it returns again soon!<\/p>\n
A huge congratulations to the P7 pupils who proudly represented our school this week at the West Lothian schools Track and Field event on Wednesday and at the Deans Community High School P7 mathematics contest on Thursday.\u00a0 Staff who accompanied pupils to these activities reported that our pupils showed our school values and were a credit to their families.\u00a0 Well done everyone! Our P5 pupils enjoyed a session with the West Lothian Council Ranger service on Wednesday afternoon which linked with their current class work and again, were excellent ambassadors for our school.\u00a0 Good job P5!<\/p>\n
Our Parent Council Spring Fayre takes place tomorrow (Saturday 30th May) from 12pm – 3pm.\u00a0 We hope to see many of you there.<\/p>\n
Sports Day is planned for Thursday 4th June at 9.30am.\u00a0 The forecast currently doesn’t look great but a decision will be made nearer the time on whether the field is safe for us to use and we will communicate this with families via our groupcall system.\u00a0 Keep everything crossed that the forecast changes and we can go ahead with sports as planned!<\/p>\n

Monday – No brass lessons today.<\/p>\n
Tuesday – Rescheduled brass lessons – instruments required.<\/p>\n
Wednesday – P4 trip to 5 Sisters Zoo. P1 and P7 NHS dental checks taking place in school.\u00a0 Parent Council meeting online at 6.30pm.<\/p>\n
Thursday – Sports Day 9.30am.\u00a0 Visit for new P1 pupils 2pm – 3pm.\u00a0 Border Embroideries (company who manufacture school uniform) pop up in school hall 2.30pm.\u00a0 P7 parent meeting at Deans Community High School 5.30pm<\/p>\n
