We had an excellent time last week ending with our P2 Assembly. We loved sharing our knowledge on different nocturnal animals. As their teacher, I am incredibly proud of them all for their commitment and dedication to the assembly. It was lovely to hear so many of them say “I loved that!” afterwards.<\/p>\n
A super fun week in Primary 2. We have been exploring the different food groups this week, learning lots of new vocabulary such as carbohydrates, protein and dairy. We can sort a selection of foods into these different food groups and we also had a little look at the Eatwell Guide, investigating what makes a balanced meal.<\/p>\n
Great Green:<\/strong><\/p>\n -Sorting a variety of foods into different food groups and creating our own healthy McDonalds drive thru!<\/p>\n -Our first look at instructional writing, remembering how to wash our hands properly.<\/p>\n -Creating their own “snazzy snail” in Art with Mrs Stewart.<\/p>\n Think Pink:<\/strong><\/p>\n -Continue to understand food as fuel for our bodies, and the importance of drinking water.<\/p>\n -Explore some simple symmetry by folding, cutting and printing.<\/p>\n -Remember to complete our daily zones check-in!<\/p>\n Lead Learners:<\/strong><\/p>\n Well done to Lucy and Harrison for being our lead learners this week.<\/p>\n Our lead learners next week are for taking responsibility when playing and working with Primary 1.
