It’s been a mixed up week, I’m fairly sure that we are at the end of it!\u00a0 The children seemed to enjoy their Thursday day off yesterday and I can confirm that the staff had plenty to keep them occupied yesterday at our training day!\u00a0 We celebrated the end of the week by coming together at a whole school assembly this morning where we shared some of our learning and heard about lead learners in each class for the coming week.\u00a0 We also gathered together on Wednesday afternoon to wish our lovely Miss McFarlane well as she is getting married at the weekend.\u00a0 I’m sure that you will join me in wishing her and her husband-to-be a lovely day and a happy future together.\u00a0 We look forward to welcoming her back as Mrs Robertson when she returns on Wednesday 20th May.\u00a0 Mrs Brown will be the main cover in the P6 class while Mrs Robertson is off, although there are some changes to this due to other commitments that Mrs Brown already has in her diary.<\/p>\n
Next week sees the start of our P1 transition programme where we welcome the children who will be joining us in August to the school.\u00a0 For the first session, the children will have the chance to visit the P1 classroom and become familiar with the environment while parents\/carers are asked to stay in the hall where I will share information about starting school.\u00a0 We are really looking forward to meeting our new P1 pupils and their families!<\/p>\n
