We have had a busy week in Primary 5, preparing for the Scottish Poetry competition, finding out how to say the days of the week and the weather in French and learning how to use speech marks correctly as part of our narrative writing focus.<\/p>\n
Great Green \u2013 \u2018What went well\u2019<\/p>\n
\u2013 We had a fantastic time at the Handball festival in Deans Community High School on Thursday. We showed excellent skills, scoring brilliant goals but more than that we showed how to play as a team, how to support each other and how to play fair.
\n\u2013 To support our learning in both numeracy and in grammar we are applying our I.T. skills through the use of \u2018Sumdog\u2019. This allows us to practise our skills while enjoying friendly competitions against each other. <\/p>\n
Think Pink \u2013 \u2018Even better if\u2019<\/p>\n
\u2013 In our writing we think about using interesting similes and alliteration. So that our rip-roaring writing will rock right round the room.
\n\u2013 Use our knowledge of decimals during money and measurement tasks. <\/p>\n
