Happy New Year from Primary 5. We have had an excellent first week back in Primary 5. We are enjoying having a student teacher in class this term who is supporting us with our learning. <\/p>\n
Great Green – ‘What went well….’
\n* We have been enjoying the low temperatures in Primary 5 because they have allowed us to measure how cold it has been in different parts of the playground.
\nCan you believe it?!? – we recorded a temperature as low as -9 degrees. We used the information collected to explore negative numbers, learning a new word along the way – integers – this means a negative or positive whole number including 0. We also made ice decorations using things we found in the playground. <\/p>\n
Think Pink ‘Even better if….’
\n* Primary 5 are concentrating on using our core skills in our writing. We need to remember CAPITAL LETTERS and FULL STOPS. We were a bit rusty at the start of the week, but we are thawing out and our skills are coming back.<\/p>\n
Lead Learners this week are Neve and Lucy who have both returned to school this term with a positive attitude and a high level of commitment in their learning.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
