Elmer Day – Primary 1

We have had a very special week in Primary 1 because on Thursday we celebrated Elmer Day!

We began the week by planning how we would celebrate Elmer day and the Primary 1’s decided that they would like to have a parade.  The children were keen to let the other pupils in the school know about Elmer day so created posters which they put around the school.

The children also wanted to dress up as elephants so they made their own mask to wear.

The children were also keen to decorate the classroom and playground.  They decorated their own wooden decoration to hang in the classroom and drew large elephants in our classroom and all around the playground.

On Thursday all of the other classes came out to cheer us on as we marched around the playground playing our instruments.  Our teachers were VERY proud of us and it was fantastic to see the other children being so supportive – Thank you all!
