Kirknewton Primary School Sports Day

Hello everyone!

Since we are unable to have our annual Sports Day, we have decided to an “At-home Virtual Sports Day” this year so that we can still take part in some of the fun potted sports activities and raise some House Points too.

We are hoping to have our “At-home Virtual Sports Day” on Wednesday 13th May and would like to see as many people active on that day that are able to join in.
We understand that every household is different in how their week is structured so if a Wednesday is not good for you, please feel free to change your household’s Sports Day to another day in the week that suits you best.

Everyone will be receiving an email about the different activity options available and how to score them.  Included in the email will be a score sheet.  Please complete and return the score sheet for every pupil in your family.  Don’t worry if your child has forgotten which House they are in, I can check that as the scores are received.  A special email address has been set up for sending score sheets back to.  Please email all score sheets to:  kirknewtonsportsday@gmail.com    There will be no responses from this email address, it has only been set up to receive score sheets.  Any score sheets should be returned to this email address by 12:30pm on Friday 15th May.  Anything received after this date unfortunately will not be counted.

There are a variety of activities you can choose from and can be adapted to suit the space you have in your home and what materials you have available for you to use too.  We do not expect you to do every activity, there is guidance in the pack as to how many can be done for each primary stage.

As with all home learning that we are giving as a school, there is no pressure to take part as you have to choose what is best for your family.

I hope you can enjoy our “At-home Virtual Sports Day”.

Many Thanks,
Mrs Simpson
