Two-Point-Six Challenge

Good Morning Everyone!

Mrs Murphy shared in our weekly assembly that there is a new challenge we would like you to consider taking part in.

As part of our “Making a Difference” topic we would like to try and help some of the charities that are supporting people all over the country.  Usually these charities raise lots of money through fundraisers, such as The London Marathon, which have been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

A group of charities have come up with an idea called the “Two-Point-Six” challenge as a way to raise money.  All you need to do is come up an activity based around the numbers 2.6 or 26 that suits your skills.  They came up with this number because the 40th London Marathon would have taken place on the 26th of April 2020.

This is the link the the Two-Point-Six website which has lots of information and ideas about this challenge.

Taking part in the Two-Point-Six challenge is very much an optional activity and you should talk about it with your parents before you make any decisions.  It is up to you and your family if you want to do the challenge for the creativity and health benefits or if you would like to the challenge and make a donation to a charity of your choice.

If you do take part in fundraising, please send a photo and a brief sentence to explain what you did with the numbers 2 & 6 to the school office email.  We would like to highlight any participation at the end of our “Making a Difference” topic.
