Kirknewton Primary School

P4 outdoor learning.

Primary 4 are starting to learn out right angles in shapes. The children  decorated their  right angle monsters and then looked for right angles in the  outdoors environment using their right angled monsters.

The next activity was to work in a team and create 7, 8 and 9 sided shapes. In order to get the required amount of sticks they needed to remember the name of  the 2D shapes that I had mentioned earlier.

The last challenge was to create a clock using roman numerals. There was lots of discussion about numbers and what they looked like. Next time we will practise our analogue times  using our outdoor clocks.
