Primary 2 outdoor learning

Primary 2 have outdoor learning first thing in the morning so it was still very chilly and frosty when we went outdoors for our learning. We explored the environment and the children had to think up adjectives to describe the frost and ice.

How does it feel?

What can you see?

Does ice and frost have a smell?

Why do we get frost and ice?

Here are what some of the children said.

Snappy

cold

freezy

frozy

hard

crunchy

frozen

frosty

crusty

crackly

The children thought that the ice crystals looked like diamonds.

The children also used magnifying glasses to help them investigate in detail.
