Good morning Primary 5!

Good morning Primary 5!

I hope you are all well and welcome to your first day. You will have learning to do at home today but we will all be together from tomorrow.

We will be having a Teams meeting at 10am so I hope you can join me then.

Your learning tasks for today are:

Literacy – Can you write down 10 facts about yourself. It might be some of your favourite things, a hobby you have, pets you have or something else. You will bring these to school and we can do class talks next week so that we can get to know each other.

Numeracy – I would like you to choose a number or roll a dice and get a number. With your number, can you write facts to do with that number please? For instance, 4 – Cows have 4 legs, 4 is ½ of 8, 4 is double 2 etc.

Health and Wellbeing – Can you draw 3 pictures showing how you have been kind, persevered and been successful in something since you were last at school. Write a short description of what is happening in your picture.

Extra – If you finish all of this, an extra task is to write your new teacher (me) a short letter. Maybe you could tell me what you are looking forward to for this year, what you are particularly good at, a memory you have of me.

Have fun and I will see you all tomorrow.

Primary 5 – Friday 26th June 2020

Primary 5 – It is our final day! It is not the way we would have wanted to spend our last day of primary 5 but we can still think of all the lovely times we had together over the past year. I have made a sway with lots of lovely memories for you to see and also a familiar song. I hope you enjoy it!

Copy and paste this into your URL bar –

Our final songs for our summer play list are:

Mrs Gillespie chose: Shotgun – George Ezra

Mrs Ramsay chose: You stole the sun from my heart – Manic Street Preachers

Mr Lewis chose: Don’t look back in anger – Oasis

Mrs Williamson chose: Reach for the stars – S Club 7

We hope you have enjoyed the music we have chosen over the past week and they make you feel as summery and happy as us!

Your tasks for today is to decide who in our class gets which award. There are 25 awards in all as we have 25 children in our class. Have a look and see who gets which most likely award. It should be fun. The awards have been sent via Teams and by email along with a summer quiz for you to try.

Enjoy!    Mrs Gillespie

Good morning Primary 5!

For our penultimate day in P5, we are going to Disney world!

A  presentation has been sent to you via Teams and by email and it has lots of activities which cover Literacy, Numeracy, Health and Wellbeing and creativity.

You can create a passport, work out times for the rides, do some research about some other countries, create a new ride for the anniversary next year and lots more. Complete as many as you can and have fun!

Primary 5 – Wednesday 24th June 2020

Good morning Primary 5.

You have a fun task today – to plan an end of year party! On the Power point there are steps for each part of the plan and these will cover Numeracy, Literacy and Health and Wellbeing. There is a lot to do but it should be fun. If there is anything you don’t understand please get in touch. I can’t wait to hear all of your plans!

It is Wellbeing Wednesday and we would like you to think about your emotions today remembering all you learned through Emotion Works. We used Inside Out as a stimulus to help us understand our emotions. Watch this video to remind you. Can you make a face on a plate? Use a paper plate or a real one and place things on it to show how you are feeling today. This is linked to Mrs Piper’s art challenge.
Have a great day
