Story Time-for two weeks starting April 26th
We found that repeating a story several times during World Book Week was thoroughly enjoyed by many of the children, evident by their engagement and focus on the book. It allowed them to fully absorb the story and develop a better understanding of it. They were able to participate more fully in who? what? where? questions relating to the story and develop a sense of sequencing. New vocabulary was heard repeatedly within a meaningful context.
So, we are going to build on this success and have a story book that will be read every day for two weeks. Any themes that children show particular interest in will be explored further
