Inveralmond Early Years Centre and Ladywell Nursery School

This week at Inveralmond Early Years we have been taking advantage of the lovely weather and spending lots of time outdoors. The children have been using chalks to draw number lines and hopscotch and displaying great gross motor skills whilst jumping and hoping over them. This has encouraged children to use their mathematical skills, sequencing and counting forward and backwards.

We have also visited the grassy field across from the High school where we had lots of fun playing ball games and rolling down the hill! The children displayed some good gross motor development and great co ordination skills.

We have also been keeping a close eye on our caterpillars. They are all now in their cocoon and patiently waiting for them to turn into butterflies!
