Inveralmond Early Years Centre and Ladywell Nursery School

Christmas is coming

This week in Inveralmond EYC we have put up our Christmas tree and decorations.  Lots of the children participated in this and were very excited.  We discussed colours and shapes.  We used our sorting skills to match and sort the baubles by shape and colour.  Some children used the baubles to create patterns.

We have been playing a variety of Christmas table top games – following the rules and taking turns and there has been lots of Christmas art and craft activities on the go.

We have been back out on our woodland adventures this week which has been fabulous the children thoroughly enjoy the open air and there is lots of learning taking place about the world surrounding us.   Some of the children have expressed concern over the amount of litter that is being dropped therefore we have decided to do some litter picking to keep the woodland a fun and safe place to be for us and the local wildlife.
