Inveralmond Early Years Centre and Ladywell Nursery School

The children at Ladywell Nursery School have had a busy week learning lots of new skills in different areas of nursery.

 

Construction area

Developing hand and eye co-ordination skills through completing jigsaws.

Developing fine motor skills through picking up pom poms using wooden tweezers.

Developing navigation skills and numeracy skills whilst using the Promethean board.

Developing mark making skills through using illuminated writing boards.

 

Art area

Developing mathematical skills through pouring water from big to small pots learning new vocabulary.

Learning 2D shapes and their properties through exploring with clay.

Developing fine motor skills and hand and eye co-ordinations skills through cutting up vegetables in the house corner.

 

Block play area

Developing their imagination skills when building a stage where the children performed to their friends.

Risk assessing their play when balancing on the wooden planks to cross from one area to another.

Building various models sharing their thoughts and feelings on what they created.
