We have had a busy few days since our last update.\u00a0 In numeracy we’ve been continuing to work hard on addition sums with missing numbers and in maths we’ve started to learn how to tell the time in digital.\u00a0 Why not ask your child if they can tell you the time in digital (half past or o’clock)? We have just started this and will continue learning about it over the next few weeks.<\/p>\n
Wordboost<\/strong><\/p>\n We have learned five new wordboost words this week.\u00a0 Why not ask your child if they remember what they are and what they mean?<\/p>\n Science<\/strong><\/p>\n In science we did an experiment to see where ice would melt fastest.\u00a0 We placed four icecubes in different places and after making our predictions we checked how quickly they were melting and recorded our results.\u00a0 We found that the ice cube on the windowsill melted quickest and the one in the freezer didn’t change at all!<\/p>\n We are continuing to learn about cold countries as part of our new topic and have drawn cold country landscapes with glaciers, mountains, tundra and northern lights.<\/p>\n Poems<\/strong><\/p>\n We are really impressed with how well everyone has learned their poems.\u00a0 Thank you for your support with this. Everyone will have the opportunity to perform their poem in front of the class on Wednesday and we will then choose two children from each class to perform in front of the school in the assembly on Friday.<\/p>\n Homework<\/strong><\/p>\n We will be sharing homework in class on Thursday.
