The Rowlings and Walliams are focusing on words with a \u2018long e\u2019 sound spelled with y. Next week is a whole review on all the words over the last 4 weeks &#8211; so p7 get cracking!<\/p>\n<p>In topic we are still working on World War II.This week we are learning about the Blitz. The name comes from a German word meaning lighting war. We came into class this morning to find our houses have been destroyed by a terrifying night of bombing! We know the Blitz lasted for many months and a lot more destruction is to come! We have learnt so much more and hoping to learn more.<\/p>\n<p>In class we created a silhouette of a soldier and placed it on a rounded black piece of paper and covered in in coloured tissue paper all over the back to create really effective stain glass windows.<\/p>\n<p>In maths we have be looking at areas of triangles. What you do is find the area of a rectangle and then half it.<\/p>\n<p>In numeracy we have been looking at negative numbers and where we can find them.
