Hello and welcome to this week\u2019s Primary 7 blog! Although it has been a short week we have certainly managed to fit a lot in!<\/p>\n
We have been learning about a very sensitive subject in topic \u2013 The Holocaust. In 1933 Hitler became leader of Germany and blamed Jewish people for losing the First World War and decided to punish them (as well as some other people) in the most unimaginable way. We watched some videos on Newsround which explained what life was like for these people. We know how important it is to research this topic with an adult. We feel it is so important for everyone to know about the awful things that happened so that it never happens again.<\/p>\n
In numeracy we are all continuing to work on fractions, decimals and percentages. We have been converting between them, ordering them, and working out fractions and percentages of amounts.<\/p>\n
We have all been enjoying our five minute challenge at the start of numeracy sessions \u2013 our Ninja booklets. In this time we have to answer a range of maths and numeracy questions which cover all areas of the curriculum and beyond!<\/p>\n
In writing we have been focused on explanation writing. This week we wrote clear explanations about how a volcano erupts. This took us back to our natural disasters topic in our first term of primary 7 \u2013 it seems so long ago!<\/p>\n
Coming to Carmondean Primary School very soon\u2026 our Primary 6&7 show \u2013 What\u2019s the Crime Mr Wolf? Props are being created left, right and centre by our art team. Dances are coming along step by step. Songs are being sung passionately. The whole production is coming together amazingly.<\/p>\n
