Making the most of the SNOW!
P7 thought that their dreams had come true on Monday when they woke to snow. This isn’t because they were hoping for a day off school (oh no, they are far too busy for that!) but because they were all beginning their ‘Snowstorm’ chapter of the Christmas Big Book Project.
The Big Book Project involves all of P7 creating a Christmas story with characters, setting, suspense, illustrations and some snow thrown in the mix! Due to this Monday was a perfect day for P7 to get out and start writing about the snow, in the snow. The weather was awe inspiring and the finished results, which will be celebrated at a book launch, are going to be super!
Children In Need!
Well done evryone for raising so much for Children In Need. We did so well to raise over £1000 in such a small school. I really do hope we got a mention on Children In Need this time.
Children in Need
Bridgend Primary School have, for the second year running, raised over £1000 for Children in Need. As well as each class doing sponsored activities through the week they held a Bake Sale, a raffle, a dress down ‘Wear your Spots’ day and a ‘Bridgend’s got Talent’ show on Friday 18th November.
The fundraising week was all organised by P7 pupils and had a fantastic finale which included children singing and dancing their hearts out while teachers and support staff were getting foamed!
The pupils and staff have had an incredible week of fundraising and are all very thankful to the parents and the local community who came out in force to support them. There achievement is especially significant as there are only 80 pupils in the school. Well done to all pupils, parents and staff!
National Museum of Scotland
Our
School Trip to the National Museum of Scotland was a great success! We learnt lots about the Jacobites and even got to dress up as characters such as Bonnie Prince Charlie, Duke of Cumberland and Flora MacDonald! We then had some free time to explore the museum and had a super time playing with all the gadgets available!
