What are BOOST words? <\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2018Boost\u2019 words are good words for helping your child with their talking, listening, reading and writing. We want your child to learn words like \u2018enormous\u2019 and \u2018tiny\u2019 so that they can use these as well as words like \u2018big\u2019 and \u2018small\u2019.<\/p>\n

Where do the BOOST words come from? <\/strong><\/p>\n

The \u2018boost\u2019 words are taught through the context of a story. We will focus on 3-4 \u2018boost\u2019 words from the chosen story each week.<\/p>\n

Why are we focussing on BOOST words?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2018Boost\u2019 words increase your child`s vocabulary and help to explain their ideas and thoughts better when they are talking. \u2018Boost\u2019 words also help them to understand what they are reading.<\/p>\n
