This Wednesday we had our sports day. We were lucky with the weather as the sun was shining. Here are some of our highlights:
‘I won two medals- one for the sprint and the other for overall boy. I ran so fast that I was sick at the end!’- James
‘Oliver in the sack race.’- Viggo (He was disadvantaged due to his height!)
‘I won the potato and spoon race.’- Ryan
‘Me and Aidan tripping over each other in the sack race.’- David
‘Watching my mum race in the parent race.’- Meadow
‘Watching Alan Maybury burn everyone in the parent race!’ – Aaron
‘Coming second in both sprints and sack race and doing a front flip in the middle of the sack race.’- Jack
‘Watching Hardy win the relay.’- Ryrie
Well done to everyone for working hard and showing good sportsmanship.
In art this week we looked at the illustrator Quentin Blake. He is best known as the illustrator for Roald Dahl books and more recently,David Walliams. He uses lines to create his characters then adds colour using water colour paints. We recreated some of Quentin Blake’s famous characters including; Matilda, Charlie and Chocolate Factory, James and the Giant Peach and The Twits.
Next week we are looking forward to our transition week to the academy!
Have a nice holiday weekend,
Miss Bollen & P7b
Glad the sun shone for you all on sports day!
