The boys in class 1 have had a fun filled week. We have been busy creating some lovely Easter crafts to take home as a gift for our parents. Miss Barrie and Mr Marsden are very happy as the boys have been listening carefully to the instructions for how to make the Easter gifts. The careful listening is evident in these beautiful Easter Bunnies.
At maths time we have been working on Pattern. We can copy, continue and create our own repeated patterns. We even went outside to see if we could spot some patterns. Cody noticed that the pencil fence has a colour pattern. Cameron noticed the basketball which has a repeated pattern of white, blue and red and Jayden spotted some curtains with red and white stripes.
On Wednesday we went on an Easter egg hunt in the Sensory Room! The Sensory Room looked like a beautiful spring day. We hunted through the grass and giant flowers to find the eggs. We had to find all of the Easter eggs then sort them into matching pairs. It was great fun!
We made some Happy Easter cards using a repeated colour pattern.
“Bend a straight line for the card. Cut a big circle shape like an egg shape. Then you glue the patterns inside the card.” Cody
“You choose the colours that you like. You give it to someone to say thank you or happy Easter.” Cameron
Here we are with our special Easter gifts. We hope that our parents enjoy looking at our wonderful work.
Included in the gift basket is an April calendar and some paper to note down some of the things you have been doing over the holidays. Miss Barrie and Mr Marsden are looking forward to hearing all about your Easter activities! Have a lovely Holiday!
