P3lm started their Ancient Egyptian learning theme this week. We have discussed what we already know and what we would like to learn about. We wrote a set of instructions on how to build a pyramid, which was good fun (Meg). We have also been learning about the importance of the River Nile. Here are some facts about the River Nile:
“it is the longest river in Africa and the world” (Callum D).
“people travelled by boat along the River Nile” (Aaron).
“Every year the River Nile floods between June and September” (Iona).
“Some Egyptians washed in the Nile” (David).
“Only the rich had wells for fresh water, others drank from the Nile” (Meadow).
“The ancient Egyptians lived and farmed along the Nile, using the soil to produce food for themselves and their animals” (Mrs Laidlaw).
We are looking forward to learning so much more!
Hi Primary 3lm,
I’m so pleased that you have enjoyed learning about The Egyptians this week. It is a fun topic to be doing in class. I really think you will enjoy learning lots about how The Egyptians lived.
Have a lovely weekend.
