<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/st\/public\/futurepathways\/uploads\/sites\/3154\/2017\/09\/Dest-planning-form-research-blank.docx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dest planning form <\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These forms will be shared with your Home Area Principal Teacher to help\u00a0them when they write a school reference (where required). \u00a0<em>This information will also be shared with your Depute Head Teacher.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333399\">If you are not in S6 and planning to leave at the end of the year or a Christmas &#8211; you must see Mrs Patrick and make sure your speak to your form class leader.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Step 2\u00a0&#8211; Write\u00a0a Personal Statement<\/h3>\n<p>ALL leavers must create a personal statement &#8211; Glow tile &#8211; Future Pathways &#8211; Personal Statements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #993366\">IMPORTANT NOTES:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Do not<\/span> copy a personal statement from someone else!<\/li>\n<li>you can start with a list\/ bullet points to help you think about what you want to include.<\/li>\n<li>ask a range of people to read it and get advice on grammar, etc as well ensuring that this STATEMENT describes <span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><strong>you<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li>do not\u00a0make it a list of your achievements\/skills\/work experience &#8211; consider what you learned about your course\/career<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Step 3 &#8211;\u00a0If applying to Higher Education you will need to apply to\/logon to UCAS<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Use the\u00a0<strong>UCAS how to guide<\/strong>\u00a0to logon to UCAS &#8211; during Oct holiday)<\/li>\n<li>Forth Valley College applications open for 2018 \u00a0&#8211; Oct 2017<\/li>\n<li>Most other colleges applications open for 2018 &#8211; Jan 2018<\/li>\n<li>Apprenticeship opportunities for 2018 &#8211;
