Castleview Nursery is open during term time, with pupils attending from 9.00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday to Friday during the 38 weeks of school term time. This equates to 1140 hours.

Placement at Castleview School and Nursery

Castleview School and Nursery operates a 38 weeks a year model and will be closed out with term time. Application to Castleview differs from the traditional school and nursery application process. A decision to attend Castleview is made by a child’s family and the team who support them and is based on an assessment of their additional support needs. This is often a multi-agency team potentially  including Health Visitor, Educational Psychologist, relevant therapists and Stirling Council Additional Support Needs Outreach team. The Team Around the Child (TAC) will submit an application to the Enhanced Support Group (ESG) where a decision is made as to whether or not Castleview is the correct school or nursery placement. Parents/carers are fully involved in all decision making processes and once a decision is made, we work closely with families to ensure a smooth transition.

Our nursery is registered with, and regulated by, the Care Inspectorate and our school by Education Scotland.
