Cambus Clubs
In Term 1 and 2 we will be continuing with Cambus Clubs. These clubs will run most Fridays with children having a choice of what club they would like to attend which supports mixing of children from all classes. If children do not get their 1st choice in Term 1 they will in term 2. The clubs are voted on by the children and staff and will help our young people develop their skills linked to our Skills Framework. These skills are Teamwork, communication, self-management, problem solving, presentation, literacy and numeracy skills.
Previous clubs have included; Dance, Lego, Problem solving, board games, art, comic club, outdoor learning, coding, cooking club and sports club.
Community Clubs
For term 2 and 3 Community Clubs will be replacing Cambus Clubs. This new approach supports all of our young people to be leaders of learning and take responsibility for an aspect of change that goes outside their own classroom and makes a tangible difference to their school and community.
Community Clubs will be an opportunity to take part in activities in partnership with another class in the school. The children will meet to create an action plan and agree clear goals. As with Cambus Clubs there will be a focus on skills development and, following feedback from the children, they have settled on the following clubs;
Wellbeing Warriors
Learning all about SHANARRI (Safe, Healthy, Achieving, Nurtured, Active, Respected, Responsible and Involved) and how we can look after our wellbeing, ourselves and each other at Cambusbarron Primary.
Playground Pals
Working to help teach new playground games and to make positive changes to our outdoor space for everyone to enjoy.
Roving Reporters
Developing our digital and investigating skills to report on what is happening throughout the school. Sharing our news with the school and community.
Planet Protectors
Helping us all to understand how we can make a positive difference for our planet.
Rights Rebels
Explore and share the rights of children and make sure that we all understand them.
We are very excited to see what the children can achieve!
