Home Learning 2020 – Lockdown
A warm welcome to our home learning page.
This is a very unsettling time for us all. We’re very aware that different families may need different things. For some families managing home learning can’t be a priority right now, whilst for others, the structure of ‘lessons’ and links for learning will help ease anxieties. Only you will know what works best for your family. Use as much, or as little, from the school as you wish. We have collated some learning activities and links to make them easily accessible for you. These have been created to support our families, not to add pressure.
It feels right to share this message (written by Rachel Elizabeth Cargle).
“You’re doing great. There are no rules around how to exist best during a pandemic. Please don’t stress around screen time, don’t guilt yourself over snack choices, don’t get overwhelmed with missed lessons or unmotivated little ones.
This is a national emergency, not an added opportunity to push productivity and expect normality in any way. This is not normal. Lean into whatever feels best for your family, whatever makes sense for the children in your care, whatever allows you the mental and emotional space to be okay over the next few weeks.
We are hoping for you all ease, peace, rest, play, companionship, conversation and moments of joy as we all navigate our way through social distancing and figure this out together. You’re doing great.”
Together we will get through this. One day at a time.

DAILY ACTIVITIES
There are lots of highly skilled people sharing their talents online during the school closures. Below we have organised these events into a chronological list. Whilst a few of these videos are live, most are available all day. That means if there’s things that clash, you can watch it at a time that suits you. We have indicated if it’s an event only available at the indicated time.
We’ll continue to update over the weeks. Check back in to keep an eye out for different activities.
Bitesize have created a ‘Learning at Home’ section with lots of interactive lessons.
