Well the end of March and April saw a lot of action in our Tattie Field. First of all John Wilson a local farmer came out to plough two strips of land for us to start planting. Then we had a visit from Ann Rogers from Albert Bartletts who came to give us advice about what we need to do to take care of our tatties.
We started chitting our potatoes this week. 3 different types of potatoes at the moment. We also got an e-mail from Anne at Albert Bartletts, who has agreed to come and give us advice about our Tattie Field.
Mrs. Robertson, Miss Sewell and Mrs Lochore met with the council officer in charge of school grounds and has given permission for part of the school field to be ploughed. Mrs. Lochore has contacted our local farmer to come and plough the field. Our community growing project is in motion.
