The rotavator goes first and separates and aerates the soil.
The children work very hard to level out the soil.
Continuing to level out the soil. Not quite there yet, we still have a lot of work to do after the easter holidays. There was a lot of talk about the legacy we will leave our school.
Some having a play in the swamp after a tough day working the Tattie field.
Well the end of March and April saw a lot of action in our Tattie Field. First of all John Wilson a local farmer came out to plough two strips of land for us to start planting. Then we had a visit from Ann Rogers from Albert Bartletts who came to give us advice about what we need to do to take care of our tatties.
We started chitting our potatoes this week. 3 different types of potatoes at the moment. We also got an e-mail from Anne at Albert Bartletts, who has agreed to come and give us advice about our Tattie Field.
We have contacted our local farmer and he has agreed to plough two strips of 5m long. Primary 7 have calculated how much potato seed we need and bought them from a local supplier.
