Staged Intervention System Explained<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

0<\/td>\nForm Class Leader<\/td>\nNo barriers to learning.<\/td>\nForm Class Leader monitors and reviews progress on a regular basis.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
1<\/td>\nHome area PT<\/td>\nStage one identifies a young person that has a barrier to learning.<\/td>\nThe young person\u2019s home area Principal Teacher will coordinate support with staff to overcome this barrier.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
2<\/td>\nHouse PTPS<\/td>\nStage two identifies a young person that has a long term barrier to their learning and requires continual enhanced planning and support.<\/td>\nThe house PTPS will coordinate support with the house learning support teacher to meet the young person\u2019s needs.\u00a0 Parents and carers will be invited to an annual review to monitor the young person\u2019s additional support needs.\u00a0 At the review the young person may move to stage 1 or 3 as required.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
3<\/td>\nPTSI<\/td>\nAt stage 3 the team around the child will have decided that the young person requires a higher level of support and\/or targeted interventions.<\/td>\nThe PT Staged Intervention will regularly review a planned, targeted, individualised approach to identified aspects of the curriculum.\u00a0 Other agencies may contribute to this and Team Around the Child (TAC) meetings held.\u00a0 Parents and carers will be invited to two reviews each year to monitor the young person\u2019s additional support needs.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
4<\/td>\nPTSI<\/td>\nStage four identifies Additional Support Needs that are complex or multiple which have a very significant impact on their learning and wellbeing.<\/td>\n\u00a0The PT Staged Intervention will regularly review a highly individualised and adapted curriculum.\u00a0 Intensive planning and support may include flexible curriculum opportunities.\u00a0 Parents and carers will be invited to two reviews each year to monitor the young person\u2019s additional support needs.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/div>\n
