Support"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Pupil Support<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Balfron High School operates a pastoral system based upon three houses Campsie, Endrick and Lomond.\u00a0 Each young person has a lead contact that will oversee their education and wellbeing.\u00a0 The aims of the house system are &#8211;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Building strong partnerships between children, young people, their parents, carers and those who support their learning<\/li>\n<li>A system for monitoring and reviewing progress and achievements at school level<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The staged intervention system is part of a nationwide strategy to support young people with barriers to their learning.\u00a0 At Balfron High School the staged intervention process supports young people with a barrier to learning by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Early intervention and targeting of resources where most needed<\/li>\n<li>Agreeing on a plan to help a young person reach their potential<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<table style=\"height: house learning support teacher to meet the young person&#8217;s needs.\u00a0 Parents and carers will be invited to an annual review to monitor the young person&#8217;s additional support needs.\u00a0 At the review the young person may move to stage 1 or 3 as required.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"23\">3<\/td>\n<td width=\"109\">3\/4 PT PS<\/td>\n<td width=\"246\">At stage 3 the team around the child will have decided that the young person requires a higher level of support and\/or targeted interventions.<\/td>\n<td width=\"293\">The PT Staged Intervention will regularly review a planned, targeted, individualised approach to identified aspects of the curriculum.\u00a0 Other agencies may contribute to this and Team Around the Child (TAC) meetings held.\u00a0 Parents and carers will be invited to two reviews each year to monitor the young person\u2019s additional support needs.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"23\">4<\/td>\n<td width=\"109\">3\/4 PT PS<\/td>\n<td width=\"246\">Stage four identifies Additional Support Needs that are complex or multiple which have a very significant impact on their learning and wellbeing.<\/td>\n<td width=\"293\">\u00a0The PT Staged Intervention will regularly review a highly individualised and adapted curriculum.\u00a0 Intensive planning and support may include flexible curriculum opportunities.\u00a0 Parents and carers will be invited to two reviews each year to monitor the young person\u2019s additional support needs.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>At Balfron high School we believe that
