Please click here to download a PDF copy of the document.<\/a><\/p>\n This document is a guide for parents and carers; it describes and explains the Scottish Government\u2019s strategy to introduce a consistent set of standardised assessments to determine pupil progress in Literacy (reading, writing, talking, listening) and Numeracy (working with numbers) at stages P1, P4, P7 and S3.<\/p>\n Almost all of our pupils are already used to undertaking standardised assessments in the primary schools of our learning community.\u00a0 In Balfron High School, our pupils routinely use a number of assessment types to demonstrate their learning.\u00a0 Class teachers are skilled in using all forms of assessment to inform and support learner progress.
