Update 20th May 2016

We have successfully reached the end of a very busy week and I would like to thank everyone involved for their combined efforts.
It is exciting to be planning for our return to campus. The temporary accommodation will arrive on site over the weekend. It is planned that the classrooms will be in the car park at the side of the school. Colleagues are organised to set up the classrooms with furniture, IT, Projectors and wifi. We are confident that these will be ready for use on the 6th June for all of our pupils returning for the new timetable.

To help keep our campus safe, please note that pupils should be dropped off and picked up outside of the campus.
Here is a reminder of the study support available at Balfron High for our senior phase young people from next week.

 German (all levels): Monday 23rd May
 Spanish (all levels): Monday 23rd May
 Physics (all levels): Monday 23rd May
 Higher Business revision: Tuesday 24th May at 3:30pm
 N5 and Higher Modern Studies revision: All day Thursday 26th May
 Higher PE: Thursday 26th and Tuesday 31st May
 Mrs Patrick has contacted pupils directly to arrange times for Higher and N5 Accounts revision.

Please remind pupils that they are welcome to contact their teachers directly via email for support.

We continue to plan for an amended, shorter P7 induction. I will share the detail of this with P7 parents once it has been confirmed. We also intend to run our awards ceremonies and summer concert as scheduled and are finalising alternative locations for these.

I am delighted that some of our outdoor extra-curricular activities will resume, weather permitting, next week as detailed in this PDF: Balfron HS Building Update 200516.

Our S3 Swiss Alps trip leaves on Sunday. Pupils will depart from the campus as planned. We wish them and safe and pleasant trip.
On that happy note, I wish you all a restful weekend!
