Update 16th May 2016

S1-3 Pupils
The arrangement for meeting, registering and transporting pupils is working really well for us so far. On both days the buses have left Balfron by 9:05am and returned before 3:30pm with a smooth and safe changeover. I appreciate that it is frustrating for some to travel beyond their home to get to Balfron just to get a bus back again. However, we would really appreciate your support in sticking with
the decision to start and finish at Balfron High. Adding stops or  changing arrangements would make the travel back slower and more complicated to manage. I know that keeping it simple, though frustrating for some, is helping things run smoothly and to plan. This is a temporary arrangement, so your patience is much appreciated in helping us manage transport in a straight forward and safe way.
In the event that a young person has a medical appointment in the school day, please let the Form Class Leader, House PT or Depute Head Teacher (DHT) in advance. When you arrive to collect your child, you will be asked to sign them out and the DHT collect the young person from class. Our colleagues do not all have phones in classrooms and tannoys cannot be used due to exams, so again, please bear with us.

Senior Phase Pupils (S4-6)
I am pleased to report that the French exams ran smoothly today at all levels and feedback from some pupils was they were happy with the paper! Given that S1-3 are off campus, the school is very quiet indeed – conditions conducive to exams.

General Update
We are working closely with colleagues from Stirling Council on a plan to bring a temporary teaching village onto our campus. Plans are looking towards having everyone back on site for Monday 6th June to begin the new timetable as planned.

Once again, I would like to thank you for your support and patience.
