This is a copy of the letter that was sent home in early December about assessed presentations the primary 6s will be doing in January. There is also the success criteria form that they will be assessed using (and evaluating their own performance.)
Please contact Mr McGrath is you have any further questions.
There are a wide range of activities, and there will be a Science Fair. This will be full of hands on activities from a magic mirror to microscopes and from facial recognition to invasive plants. It is aimed at primary school pupils and their families. There is no booking, just turn up on the day and get stuck in. It runs from 2pm-4pm in the Atrium just up the stairs from the MacRobert entrance.
Primary 3D have been developing their team and gross motor skills as part of their activities with our PE teacher, Mr Paterson. They learned about invasion games; passing a ball, aiming for targets and working together.
They have used the skills they learned during their football skills course with Stirling Albion coaches every Thursday.
I thought that rather than send a homework sheet home I would keep it simple this week and from now on.
Tuesday: practise green and red words in their reading books (see video for guidance: Click here)
Wednesday: practise some speed sounds and then talking about the book, the pictures, what the story is about etc Click here for video.
Thursday: Read the story with your child (don’t feel you have to read the whole book with them, they could read to themselves and you could just hear 2 or 3 pages) then do the Speed Words at the back. Click here for video help.
