Can you find any words you know in the story?<\/li>\r\n<li>Common words challenge &#8211; Use materials in the house such as pasta, shaving foam, play-doh, flour or pencils to practise these.<\/li>\r\n<li>Draw a picture of your &#8216;Snow Day.&#8217; You could even try to write a sentence underneath.<\/li>\r\n<li>Watch a Julia Donaldson story: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/iplayer\/group\/p06vkmht\">https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/iplayer\/group\/p06vkmht<\/a><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>Numeracy<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Write your numbers in the snow &#8211; use your finger or a stick if your hands are too chilly!<\/li>\r\n<li>Practise counting, matching and ordering: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.topmarks.co.uk\/learning-to-count\/gingerbread-man-game\">https:\/\/www.topmarks.co.uk\/learning-to-count\/gingerbread-man-game<\/a><\/li>\r\n<li>Make a number line to 10.<\/li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">Make 10 &#8211; use objects around the house to mix and match bundles to 10 eg: 10 pegs, 10 shoes, 10 forks, etc. Have a go at writing\/making these sums eg: 5 +5 = 10<\/span><\/li>\r\n<li>\u00a02D Shape Hunt: Can you find items in your house that are the shape of a circle, square, rectangle, triangle, oval, pentagon or hexagon?
