While teaching them to explore all of their five senses, it also encourages fine and gross motor skills, hand-eye coordination, cognitive and language development and much more. It\u2019s often calming and always FUN!<\/p>\n<p>One of the best resources to use for sensory activities is shaving foam. It is squishy and has a fluffy texture and can be bought in most supermarkets. It\u2019s also easy to clean up, as it just melts away into liquid \u2013 if you use a tray for your shaving foam play, you can just pour the leftovers down the drain. Even easier is playing outside for a simple hose down afterwards. All you need is :- Shaving foam and a clean, clear surface which can be easily wiped.<\/p>\n<p>You will hear in the video that the children and staff are discussing their emotions and feelings, at home you could use this opportunity with your child to engage in conversations around their emotions and feelings.
