All at Woodhead Primary School and Nursery Class were saddened to hear the news on Thursday of the passing of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.<\/p>\n
On Friday, we held a short assembly to reflect on her 70 years of service and to show our respect with a minute’s silence.<\/p>\n
Just last week, we took receipt of a free book for each child in P1-7 as a memento of her Platinum Jubilee year. \u00a0We have decided to still issue these to the children and they will be sent home next week. \u00a0In the circumstances, I’m sure many children will appreciate this special memento.<\/p>\n
