Adverse Weather Dismissal – Monday 12th December 2022
Due to the icy conditions and the forecast that the temperature will not rise about freezing today, we will implement an Adverse Weather Plan for P1-7 dismissal at the end of the day today.
P1-7 children will be dismissed from the playground via the service gate near the bin store area beside the disabled parking spaces. The MUGA gate and the Torhead gate will not be opened.
Parent/carers are not permitted to enter the playground. Instead, you should wait at the area beside the bin store. One class will be dismissed at at time, starting with Primary 1a and working up to Primary 7b. School staff will call parents forward for each class.
We will dismiss P1a and P1b from 2.50pm. However, do not worry if you are not able to be at the school until the usual time of 3pm. P1a and P1b will not be dismissed without an adult.
We ask that if your child is to walk home themselves today that you stick to that arrangement to reduce the number of adults in the limited space at the front of the school.
This dismissal might take slightly longer than normal and we ask you to be patient so that school staff can ensure the safe dismissal of all pupils.
Arrangements for collection of nursery children and those children on the school bus/after school care are as normal.
Girls’ football club will also take place as planned at 3pm (although it will be indoors).
