Plans for Phased Re-opening of Woodhead in August 2020

Earlier this week, SLC issued a letter to outline the plans for a Blended Approach to the phased-reopening of schools in August 2020.

In order to plan the safe return of our children to Woodhead Primary School, there will be a number of arrangements in place to allow safe social distancing.

This letter explains all of the arrangements specific to Woodhead. PhasedReopeningLettertoParentsJune2020

Please note that this information is current at the time of writing.  Any changes based on updates from Scottish Government will be posted to Twitter and this website.

In the coming days, we will email letters to next year’s P2-7 pupil Glow Accounts. These letters will provide details of classes, teachers and the allocated days for the Blended Learning model.  We will issue a text message to let you know when these are available.

We will issue letters to all parents of new P1 pupils providing details of classes, teachers and the allocated days for the Blended Learning model when they visit for their transition day.

Children have been placed into their blended learning groups to ensure sibling groups within Woodhead attend on the same day.  We have also had to accommodate provision for our school transport providers to ensure this is spread across the week to maximise transport capacity.  We have then tried to ensure working groups will also attend on the same day.  Unfortunately we will be unable to swap days that have been allocated.

Please direct any feedback or questions to or telephone 01698 457669.
