\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Please check local radio stations, the School App, the Parent Council Facebook page and the South Lanarkshire website: www.southlanarkshire.gov.uk where updates will be posted if the school has to close;<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Please ensure that the school has current landline, mobile and emergency phone numbers in case we have an emergency closure or need to provide important updates;<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Although the school and Education Resources make every effort to provide normal services,\u00a0weather<\/span>\u00a0and road conditions, for buses and taxis, may dictate changes to service;<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Please take great care with underfoot conditions on the access roads to and from the school. Although pathways will be created within the school grounds, underfoot conditions require greater care.<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0A risk assessment of the playground will take place during icy condition and children will remain indoors (intervals and lunchtimes) until conditions improve.<\/p>\n

I would ask that parents do not\u00a0<\/b>phone the school to ask if it is closing.\u00a0 Please only phone to report an absence (leaving a message) or in an emergency situation.\u00a0 We only have 2 phone lines and these can quickly become jammed with high numbers of parents phoning.\u00a0 We will send a message out on he School App and put a message on the Parent Council Facebook Page if the school is closing, otherwise please assume the school is open.\u00a0 Please also note that the decision to close the school comes from our Head of Education who will make her decision based on information from the school, advice from Housing and Technical Resources as well as advice from the police and roads.\u00a0 \u00a0The first notification of any closure will be posted on the South Lanarkshire Council Website, so this should be your first port of call.<\/p>\n
