Making a difference \u2013 working together to support children\u2019s learning<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\nParents, carers and family members are by far the most important influences on children\u2019s lives.\u00a0 Children between the ages of 5 and 16 children spend only 15% of their time in school!\u00a0 Research shows that when parents are involved in their child\u2019s learning, children do better at school and throughout life.\u00a0 Parental involvement can take different forms but we hope you share the same aims and agree that by working together we can be partners in supporting children\u2019s learning.<\/strong><\/p>\nAs parents\/carers we want you to be:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n- Welcomed and given an opportunity to be involved in the life of the school;<\/strong><\/li>\n
- Fully informed about your child\u2019s learning;<\/strong><\/li>\n
- Encouraged to make an active contribution to your child\u2019s learning;<\/strong><\/li>\n
- Able to support learning at home;<\/strong><\/li>\n
- Encouraged to express your views and involved in forums and discussions on education related issues.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
