A few weeks ago our best chess team entered a tournament and we came first. Our team included me, Connor, William and Liam. Connor beat the best chess player in South Lanarkshire. I won all my matches. Me and my team were so proud that we won. Our parents were ecstatic.

In school my class and I are reading Saving Finnegan, which is our unit study.
Saving Finnegan is very interesting. It is about a young girl called Holly and she finds a whale all alone on the beach. She had to get her local postman to come and help. Postman Cyril got lots of people to help out as well. The author of the story is Sally Grindley. I cant wait to read more of it because we are half way through chapter two. I would recommend you read it because it is a very interesting book which makes you want to read on and find out more.

Our class is doing a unit study on Saving Finnegan. Saving Finnegan is a book which is set in the Island of Coll in Scotland. The book is about a young girl called Holly. One morning she goes down to the beach and finds a whale left stranded and she called him Finnegan. Holly was trying to look for help however the only person she could find was postman Cyril. He had a knobbly purple, strawberry shaped nose which he poked into other people’s business. Holly’s mum said it was caused by an unhealthy fondness for moonshine. Everybody helped Holly and Postman Cyril save Finnegan . We are currently on chapter 2 and we have lots more to find out.

In room 12 we have a new unit study called Saving Finnegan. This book is about a girl called Holly who finds a whale washed up on the shore. We have only just started this and we are on chapter 4 . This book is based on the island of Coll. So far we have really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to hear the end.

In Primary 6 our class has been doing Bike Ability. Mrs Dempsie is our Gym Teacher and she has been helping us with Bike Ability.
We are learning how to properly use our bikes on the road like signs using our arms as indicators so that we can alert drivers if we are turning left or right. I think that everybody enjoys cycling to and from school.

In room 12, primary 6 have been going to the G.P room and we have been doing philosodrama. If you are wondering what philosodrama is, its a short scene of acting with a couple of people. After you have done your bit of acting you will get to ask questions about the scene. Afterwards the class have a group discussion and you need to agree or disagree with what they said. I have enjoyed philosodrama over the past few weeks.
