Spanish Week

Hello,

Last week in our school we had Spanish week. Spanish week happened in order to introduce Spanish as our schools new second language. I had a great time because everybody got to dress up in Spanish  colours. At assembly each class stepped up in front of the whole school and showed what they had been doing in class for their mini Spanish topic. My class made posters to show why people might want to go to Spain. There were also three narrators to narrate the pictures. Each class also got a chance to go to a Spanish café. At the Spanish café there was Spanish Tapas which is a variety of small dishes. I had a great time at Spanish week as I got to learn a lot about Spain.

I hope you enjoyed reading my blog.

In our class we are doing a Unit Study this term. The Unit Study we are doing is Saving Finnegan.

Saving Finnegan is a book set on the Island of Coll and is all about a whale that gets stranded on a beach and a little girl called Holly discovers it. We are only on the start of the book and it is really good so far and I want to read on. The author of the book is Sally Grindley.

This year our topic is Saving Finnegan. This story is based on the island of Coll. The little girl Chloe wakes up to find a whale lying on the beach. We have all been enjoying the story and we would like to find out what happens next.

Saving Finnegan

In my class, Room 12, our unit study is the book, Saving Finnegan.

It is about a girl from the island of Coll named Holly who finds a stranded whale washed up on the shore of the beach. They have to get it water quickly to keep it’s skin moist or else it will die. This is about where we have read up to. I want to read more because it is really exciting and enjoyable to read.

I hope you have enjoyed my blog and thank you for reading.
