investigation and be able to express informed opinions.<\/p>\n<p>Local Studies and the Local Environment are very important and the<\/p>\n<p>children start in P1 looking at \u2018Themselves and their Families\u2019,<\/p>\n<p>progressing as they get older to studying \u2018The School Community\u2019<\/p>\n<p>and then to the \u2018Local Community\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>By P7 the children will be studying and investigating the Wider<\/p>\n<p>Community both past and present and also<\/p>\n<p>Local and National Government.<\/p>\n<p>Interdisciplinary experiences are both planned and responsive,<\/p>\n<p>while core lessons are also delivered.
