Art<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Art is generally developed in association with other areas of the curriculum, which results in interdisciplinary learning experiences as well as specific skills and techniques being taught from early stages to P7.<\/p>\n

These skills include the systematic study of colour, line, shape and texture, and craft skills such as puppetry, model making, collage, printing and needlework.<\/p>\n

There are many opportunities for the pupils to explore and reflect the work of a variety of famous artists.<\/p>\n

We have also established quality partnerships with professional artists whose expertise supports not only pupils but staff.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Music<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Music Tuition<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em>In accordance with South Lanarkshire Council\u2019s financial savings policy, it is necessary to implement a charge for this service. Parents\/Guardians are required to make an annual contribution towards IMS. This has been set at \u00a3180 based on a minimum of 30 lessons.<\/p>\n

Pupils entering P3, P4 or P5-Following a musical aptitude\/suitability assessment,\u00a0one year of free IMS, including instrument provision (if required) will be provided under current Youth Music Initiative National Guidelines. This free entitlement will<\/p>\n

last for one year only. Charges will apply for each consecutive year after that.<\/p>\n

In St Elizabeth\u2019s all children are given the opportunities to nurture and develop their interests and skills. As with Art, Music is often taught through interdisciplinary learning experiences as well as the teaching of specific skills. Pupils are encouraged to be creative and imaginative and enjoy the excitement and energy of performing<\/p>\n

and presenting for different audiences. There is a range of different types of learning experiences including: links with Holy Cross School Band, Theatre Company visits, Choir tuition Fischy Music (To enrich their Emotional and Social experiences)<\/p>\n

St Elizabeth\u2019s shows , whether themed or performed by individual classes, are well established and appreciated within the community.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>Drama<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>As with Art and Music, Drama is often taught through interdisciplinary learning experiences as well as the teaching of specific skills. There are many opportunities to be creative and their acting and presenting skills are developed through participating in scripted or improvised drama. Their experiences are also deepened by the opportunity to visit theatres and have professional actors visit the school.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
