The Telescope is Computer Operated and Automatically Lines Up On Command.

During the Christmas Fair ,outside in the freezing cold dark playground, Councillor John Ross took the time to set up a telescope and  binocular tripod for everyone to experience any planets and stars in the night sky. Whilst we searched out the heavens using John`s state of the art  equipment, he expertly answered questions and pointed out hidden astronomical sights using a smart phone application. Did you know that Orion was due to arrive around 10pm that evening ? Thank you John ,it was amazing and wonder if  telescopes might  feature on   Santa Lists for some  children and   adults  this December ?

And it was terrific and so very well attended. Many thanks to our very hard working Community Partnership and to everyone who supported the 2016 Christmas Fair with their donations and attendance. Bouncy Castles,Hotdogs, Crafts and Bric-a Brac, just to name a few of the stalls and experiences on offer. So far over £1000 has been raised for school funds. A much appreciated  amount that will benefit the teaching and learning opportunities within the St Elizabeth`s School and Nursery. Once again THANK YOU from us all.
